Travel recommendations

Here you can find some of our travel recommendations for beaches, places to see and visit and restaurants in Menorca. 

Beaches

It is recommended to check the weather every day. If the wind is coming from the north, go to the southern beaches. If the wind is coming from the south, go to the northern beaches. 

In order to protect the natural habitat of the island, many of the beaches aren't easily accesible by car. Instead they are reached after a hike. 

Northern beaches

  • Mahón city: Centre and port

  • La Isla del Rey ("The King's Island")

  • Fishermen's village of Binibeca

  • Monte Toro (good view of the whole island)

  • La cova d’en Xoroi ("The Cove of Xoroi)

    • A view of the sunset is recommended. ​

  • Ciutadella city: Centre and port

For those who want to go hiking, Menorca has a path around the entirety of the island called Camí de Cavalls.

Fornells is a small town/village of fishermen where there are several restaurants:

  • Es cranc pelut (serves caldereta de langosta, a traditional lobster stew from Menorca)
